Delete your account
Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Daizen Services Private Limited
This page explains how to have your Daizen Chess Champs account deleted, on the website and in our Android app. A parent can ask for their own account, and for the accounts of their children. It follows our Privacy Policy.
1. How to ask
- Email hello@daizenchesschamps.com with the subject "Delete my account". Please write from the email address you use to log in, if you have one.
- Tell us the parent's name, the mobile number or email the account is registered with, and which accounts to delete: the whole family, or the name of one child.
- We may need to verify your identity first, so that nobody else can delete your account.
- We respond within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
Children do not ask for this themselves. A child's account is deleted when the parent or guardian who set it up asks us.
2. What is deleted
Account and learning data are deleted or anonymised within 90 days after the account is closed. This includes the profile and login, the children's profiles linked to it, and the learning record: lessons, puzzles, games, homework and progress.
Once an account is deleted you can no longer log in with it, and the progress on it cannot be brought back.
3. What we must keep
- Payment and invoice records: for the period required by tax and accounting laws (generally up to 8 years).
- Class recordings: 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate a complaint.
Deleting an account does not by itself refund a plan. Refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Deleting only some data
You do not have to close the account to have data removed. You can ask us, in the same way, to correct data that is wrong or to erase data that is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law. See "Your rights" in the Privacy Policy.
